Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Kazakh Mathematical Journal undergo mandatory double-blind peer review.

At the initial stage, the editorial office evaluates the manuscript for compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, scientific quality, and publication ethics. The manuscript is also checked for plagiarism and text overlap.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the preliminary evaluation are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of mathematics. In the double-blind peer review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

Reviewers evaluate:
— the scientific novelty and significance of the results;
— the correctness and rigor of mathematical proofs;
— the relevance of the research topic;
— the quality and clarity of presentation;
— compliance with the academic and ethical standards of the journal.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:
— accept the manuscript for publication;
— accept after revisions;
— send for additional review;
— reject the manuscript.

If necessary, authors are asked to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments. The final decision on publication is made by the editorial board of the journal.

The editorial office guarantees the confidentiality of all submitted materials and adheres to the principles of publication ethics in accordance with the recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
